Packaging photography
On the shelf you only have a few seconds. Your packaging has to show at a glance what’s inside and why it tastes good. That’s what we make images for: serving suggestions, packshots and mood shots that work on your box, film or label.
From the briefing onwards we think along with your designer. Where does the text go, where is the fold, how big will it be printed? So every image fits your design perfectly and stays razor-sharp at any size. And the food in the photo? Always real.
Questions about packaging photography
-
What is a serving suggestion?
A serving suggestion is an image on the packaging showing how the product can be served, often with extra ingredients or garnish. That’s why it says "serving suggestion": not everything in the photo is in the pack. We make sure the image is inviting and stays honest about what your customer buys.
-
Do you work with our design agency?
Gladly. We ask for the layout or dieline upfront, so we know where logo, text, windows and folds go. That way we shoot with the right space and viewing angle, and your designer doesn’t have to force anything afterwards.
-
In what resolution do you deliver images for print?
In high resolution, more than enough for print at final size, following the common guideline of 300 dpi at actual size. We also deliver cut-out versions with clipping paths, so your printer or designer can get started right away.
-
Can you use one image for different flavours or formats?
Yes. We build the set so that per variant we only change what’s needed, such as the flavour, the colour or the format. That keeps your product line consistent on the shelf. With AI retouching we can then create extra variants, without ever faking the product itself.
-
How do you make sure the image works on the shelf?
During the shoot we check the images in your design and at actual size. That way we see straight away whether the product stays recognisable, even small or from a distance. We tune colour and contrast to the printing process, so what you approve on screen is right on the shelf.
