Packshot photography
A packshot looks simple: your product, cut out on white. But that is exactly where everything shows. A crooked label edge, a speck of dust on the cap, a colour that is just off. We make sure your product looks crisp, honest and recognisable, so it stands out in every webshop.
We shoot according to the GS1 guidelines for product images: fixed camera angles, an even white background, the right margins and file names based on your GTIN. That way your images are ready for retailers, marketplaces and your own webshop straight away. For a full range too.
Questions about packshot photography
-
What are GS1 product images?
GS1 defines how product images look for retail and e-commerce: cut out on white, from fixed angles, with fixed margins and a file name based on the GTIN, the number under your barcode. Retailers use the standard to process images automatically.
-
Which angles do you shoot?
The front as standard, and where needed the sides, back, top, bottom and a three-quarter view. In the briefing we decide together which angles your retailers ask for.
-
Can you shoot a full range in one go?
Yes. We build a fixed set-up for light and camera, so every product gets the same lighting and proportions. That way we shoot many products a day, in one consistent line.
-
In which formats do you deliver?
In high resolution, cut out on white and, if you like, with a clipping path or transparent background. We deliver the files with the right naming, ready to upload to your retailers or your PIM system.
-
What do we need to provide?
Your products, ideally a few of each item in perfect condition, and a list of GTIN codes. A dent or scratch shows straight away on a packshot, so we pick the best item together.
